If there's ever a day to get lost in the snowglobes of Walter Martin and Paloma Muñoz, the darkest and snowiest day of the year is. With their sometimes morbidly funny and othertimes sublimely sweet Travelers series, Martin and Muñoz have mastered the fine art snowglobe.
The artist-duo cuts and paints store bought figurines and then places them in imaginary worlds. Shrubbery and trees are sculpted from plumber's epoxy while the bulkier elements like boulders and cliffs are fashioned out of super sculpey.
